Hotel Manager Peter Rima
SEADREAM II, You and U2… That’s Just What Inspires Him
As you can well imagine, SEADREAM YACHT CLUB is exceedingly proud of its staff---both aboard our twin yachts and ashore. Our entire team has that wonderful passion for excellence that has made SEADREAM so highly appreciated. This passion for excellence manifests itself in many ways and has attracted many extraordinary people. That brings us to a young man you might know from past voyages, Mr. Peter Rima.
Hungarian born Peter Rima started with SEADREAM in 2003 as, what in the hospitality profession is called a chef de rang---more commonly known as a head waiter. Earlier this year Peter was appointed Hotel Manager aboard SEADREAM II. His dedication and devotion to his profession obviously did not go unnoticed.
The son of a Hungarian, agri-business owner father and a high school teacher mother, Peter studied restaurant management and the English language in Hungary and cultivated an insatiable desire to see the world. When a friend who worked for a cruise line suggested the young man might consider a career at sea, Peter packed a bag and took off. He became a busboy on a large cruise ship in 2000. By 2002 he had risen to head waiter and then caught the eye of astute SEADREAM recruiters.
An outgoing man with a charming smile, Hotel Manager Peter Rima believes he has the best job in the world. “I enjoyed being a busboy and later a waiter, but I love being the Hotel Manager aboard SEADREAM II. I am making friends from all over the world,” he says.
When you see him aboard SEADREAM II on one of your voyages, ask him about the superstar band U2. In his spare time (“I have very little spare time aboard”) he has his iPod glued to his ears listening to Bono and the Irish rock group U2.
