The Splendor of the Old World
The Mediterranean, the Ionian, the Aegean, the Adriatic …and the SEADREAM Experience
History did not record the name of the first sailor who was brave enough to sail their tiny, clumsy craft out of sight of land and into the unknown challenges of those great seas of the Old World. It was the shores of those seas that later became dotted with lively ports and trading posts that became the keys to the empires of Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Moors and Turks.
SEADREAM I and II offer a series of Old World cruises that sail the seas of the Mediterranean, Ionian, Aegean and Adriatic. SEADREAM focuses on small villages as well as thriving ports---ancient habits to modern. SEADREAM’S yachting land adventures feature visits to centers for the arts including painting, sculpture, music, dance and the culinary arts. With so many interesting and stimulating SEADREAM itineraries to choose from, we draw your attention to special highlights available on select sailings this May – October 2009.

Building such a canal was the dream of several Roman Emperors including Nero, who actually turned the first shovelful of earth, but the project was abandoned. It wasn’t until 1831 that the Corinth Canal was undertaken in earnest and it was completed in 1893. SEADREAM I passes through the Canal with just a few feet to spare on either side of the vessel.
