Dynamic Duo

Siblings are often times our first friends and our role models. Therefore it’s not unlikely that siblings would share similar interests and skills, perhaps even share similar career goals.

Aboard SEADREAM I & II we have several “sibling teams” and we’d like to make mention of these dynamic duos working hard to make your voyages unforgettable. The other “brother act” is Mehmed and Mirza Ahmetasevic who are both waiters aboard SEADREAM II. You were not seeing double, it wasn’t the wine at dinner and it’s not one high-speed waiter seemingly everywhere at once.

Mirza & Mehmed were born in Tuzla, a small city in south Bosnia. Their first language is Bosnian, which is similar to Croatian and Serbian. Mirza is 4 years younger than his brother and is self described as “single & charming.” He’s been with SEADREAM 2½ years and finds meeting new friends and seeing the world as the best perks of his job. Both he and his older brother, Mehmed have always been in the same profession. Once Mirza started with SEADREAM he encouraged his brother to join him in the experience.

Mirza’s favorite SEADREAM destination is the Croatian coastline because he feels so close to home. During his breaks (when not playing chess) he & Mehmed are home working at the family business which is a large restaurant on a lake. They serve local cuisine and he works as a waiter, bartender and even helps out in the kitchen.

Mehmed, the elder, watches out for his little brother’s well being. After going to medical school to become a nurse, Mehmed changed course and chose the family profession of catering. He loves Jost van Dyke for its sunshine and great beaches and he always looks forward to the Champagne and Caviar Splash™! When off duty, he passes the time reading and watching movies, thrillers being his favorite.

President’s Voyages are a 2010 Highlight
